Driving Awareness for a Greener, Plastic-Free India

Bioyug on Wheels, India’s first mobile awareness platform dedicated to polylactic acid (PLA) biopolymers, was ceremoniously launched at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai by Hon'ble Chief Minister , Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. This innovative initiative represents a bold step toward making sustainable living more accessible and actionable for everyday citizens.

Spearheaded by Balrampur Bioyug, the country’s first industrial manufacturer of PLA, the campaign takes the form of a specially designed bus that will travel across India, stopping at key locations to engage directly with local communities. Through interactive displays and real-life product demonstrations, the initiative demystifies PLA—a compostable, plant-based alternative to single-use plastics and brings its benefits to the forefront.

Inspiring Sustainable Choices Across India

By meeting people where they are, Bioyug on Wheels hopes to spark awareness, shift mindsets, and drive adoption of sustainable materials in daily life. The campaign supports the World Environment Day 2025 theme, calling for urgent, scalable action against plastic pollution, and reinforces India’s journey toward a greener, low-carbon future.

With every stop, the mobile unit offers a powerful reminder: small choices in what we use and how we consume can lead to big change. Since its successful launch in Mumbai in May 2025, Bioyug on Wheels has travelled across key regions—including cities in Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat , & Kerala engaging thousands of stakeholders through a series of immersive, knowledge-driven rich experiences. These include live demonstrations, interactive exhibits, expert dialogues, and collaborative sessions with academia, industry, and policy influencers.

Representatives from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), as well as the Presidents of the Telangana, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh Plastic Associations respectively visited the Bioyug on Wheels pavilion, showing strong institutional interest in sustainable material alternatives.
